PLAYGROUND FUNDRAISING COMPLETE!!

Between the April yard sale, some additional coins we got in last week and an anonymous donation of $48.35, WE’RE DONE!!!

A HUGE thank you to Lea Jordan and Madelyn Carnes as well as Morgan and Delaney Proko who braved the weather for the yard sale. We had a good turnout and then donated all the remaining items to the Worcester Animal Rescue League for their upcoming yard sale.

Thank you to each of you that believed that we could accomplish this important project for our children. With the maintenance fund now in place, we can be assured that monies are available to make needed improvements down the road.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR TREMENDOUS EFFORTS AND SUPPORT!!

COOKBOOKS:

Cookbook sales are going well. We have already covered our costs and now every book sold is profit! Many thanks to our hearty volunteers who manned the table on Saturday, February 7th: Hannah, Sophie and Sandra Foster, Peggi Harris and Sarah Sadowski! Extra special thanks to NP student Hannah Foster who held out in the frosty temperatures for 3 hours!! The sale made $130 which puts the cookbook sale net profit at over $250!!

IIf you have any other ideas for places we can sell, please contact Sandra 508-856-9442. I know she is already speaking with the Y.

GOODSEARCH TOOLBAR:

Chaz Harris has found an interesting internet search engine that gives 1 cent to a charity of your choice each time you use it. It works the same as any other search engine you use such as google or msn but the PTO will get money when you are using it. Sounds simple enough! Use the instructions below to set up the toolbar on your system (you will have the opportunity to download to your regular home page as part of the process below). It automatically saves Nelson Place PTO as your preferred charity so you only have to do this once. Initially these funds will go to the playground account. Once our goal is reached, funds will go to our general fund. Please pass this information on to friends and family too!

1) Go to "Goodsearch. com".

2) Under "Who do you Goodsearch for?", enter "Nelson Place" where it says "enter your charity here"

3) Hit "Verify".

4) It should come back with "Nelson Place School PTO (Worcester, MA)".

5) If it does not, type in "Nelson Place School PTO (Worcester, MA)", and hit "Verify".

6) Now enter your search request and you are all set.

Cans for Kids!!

The Fleming family has done a great job collecting and returning cans and bottles from NP families to benefit of the playground the past year. This commitment alone has raised over $500!! Drop your cans and bottles at 62 Darnell Road in the recycle bins OR contact Dawn Fleming at 508-853-9476 to arrange for pickup.
