     Our gross book fair sales were over $7,000.  As a result, Nelson Place will receive over $3000 in book profits for the PTO to spend on books for the school.  Thanks to all of you for supporting this effort!

BOOK FAIRS

The Scholastic Book Fair is held annually for three consecutive days (and usually one evening) in the school library in late March/early April. The children have an opportunity to shop for their favorite books and each purchase earns benefits for the school. For the book fair, teachers create classroom "wishlists" in case an parents wants to donate some books to their child's room.

Parents are needed to assist the children and run the cash register for this great school event.

THE 2010 BOOK FAIR WILL TAKE PLACE LATE FEBRUARY/EARLY MARCH. Stay tuned for more information!!

\MONTHLY ORDERS

Scholastic Book forms come home monthly for parents wishing to order books. Distribution and collection of these orders in handled exclusively by your child's teacher. Return the order form to the teacher along with a check made to " Scholastic Books" in an envelope with your child's name, purpose of money and teacher's name by the deadline indicated. Books are usually sent home with the children in about two weeks. Scholastic books make great holiday gifts!!
