The Family Nights Committee organizes Pumpkin Night in the school yard in October, family skating or rollerblading sessions, family night at the Icecats, Papa Gino's nights and other activities as inspired by the committee, parents and teachers.

Meg has worked her wonderful magic again!! Tickets will cost only $11 each and seating will be on the orhestra level. 175 tickets are reserved for Nelson Place. Space is limited so be sure to reserve your tickets for this exciting family event!
Nelson Place will sing the National Anthem once again at the Tornades opening night....

Nelson Place students will each get a Nelson Place tie die t-shirt courtesy of the PTO Family Nights Committee. Please watch for the flyer which will require your child's size. It must be filled out to guarantee a shirt!!

Come join the Nelson Place Family for our second family event of the year and cheer on your Worcester Sharks at the DCU Center. It is also Tiffany Thornton Night! (From the hit TV Show Sonny with a Chance). She will be signing autographs etc.
Tickets are ONLY $10/ea for lower level seating. If you would like to sit with another family, please just send in one order form for the entire group to ensure that your tickets are together. Order forms have already gone home with the children and are due back November 4th. You can also find order forms on the NP Website. Over 500 people signed up last year, and we are looking for the numbers to increase again this fall. Pumpkin Night will be held rain or shine Friday October 16th, from 5-7pm. Information sheets will be sent home soon. There is no charge for the event, and the kids will be able to paint pumpkins, dance to the DJ music, as parents can mingle and meet. We will be selling hot dogs, chips, popcorn, drinks, and glow sticks. Bring your carved or decorated pumpkin from home and enter the Pumpkin Contest! Enter the raffle basket drawing for a chance to win an awesome theme basket. I have listed below the raffle baskets that were so generously donated by parents and families last year. If you would like to create a basket and donate it for the raffle, please let me know. Some of the ideas from last year were:
If you have another idea, we would greatly welcome it and your basket!!! All the money raised from this event goes straight back to the children to supplement the Hanover Theatre Night, and other events throughout the year.
Deb Jerszyk has already confirmed her donation of an Avon Basket!
Also, we need volunteers to work that evening for set up, serving, break down, and selling tickets and glow sticks, as well as food prep during the day (cooking hot dogs etc)
