The Books & Beyond Program is for kindergarten through third grade.  Books & Beyond asks every child to read (or be read to) 300 pages or 20 books every five weeks. Participants get prizes along the way and medals at the end of the year. A package with a form to track the books read will come home with your child before the program begins.

Books and Beyond will begin about October 2009 for the school year. We will be in need of a parent to be responsible for collecting and totalling reading logs for each class. Please contact Jill or Karen if you can help with this important task.

BOOKS & BEYOND CELEBRATION SET

The Books & Beyond ceremony will be held Friday, March 26th at 9:30 am for grades K and 1; 10:15 am for grades 2 and 3.

Magician David Garrity 'Unleashes the Magic in Books'
on Tuesday, October 27th!!

On Tuesday, October 27, we will be welcoming David Garrity, Magical Artist, who will perform two programs for our students. This is the "kick-off" event for both of our reading programs -- Book and Beyond (K-3) and TRIPP (grades 4-6).  The title of this special event is "Unleashing the Magic in Books."   The Enrichment Committee is bringing David Garrity to Nelson Place.
